In the summer of 2008, after receiving a wake-up call, he decided against all odds to lose weight. He succeeded in losing about 28 pounds of weight in his first ever and only attempt in just two months using his own tailored fit weight loss program, combining both diet and exercise, to reach a normal corpulence without the help of any professional, whether a sports coach, a nutritionist, or a scientist.
Reading this book, whether you’re a high school student, the parents of a teenager, a university student, a working adult, or an overweight person, you can learn from his repeated mistakes throughout his life causing him to gain weight and from his one success in losing weight.
This story is my autobiography describing my relationships to sport, food, and weight during my life from birth to now. This non-fiction is about both “prevention” from becoming overweight by learning from my numerous mistakes and “cure” from being overweight by reading my success in losing weight. To understand how and why I lost in my first attempt enough weight to return to a normal body, you need first to learn how I lived before and how and why I had gained weight.
As a high school student and/or the parent of one, you will be very much interested in reading in the second chapter of this book about my childhood and teenage life growing up fit in Casablanca with respect mostly to sports and medical conditions. As a university student, you’ll read in the third chapter of this book about my university life experience with respect to sports, weight, and diet at American University of Washington D.C. and University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida when my body started gaining weight and continued later on. In the fourth chapter of this book, you’ll read about my personal and professional lifestyle with respect to sports, weight, and diet while working during 9 years in the job market in Morocco.
The fifth chapter describes the one year period prior to losing weight and its importance in being successful to lose weight. The weight loss program, I created and followed rigorously during two months, is detailed in the sixth chapter. The seventh chapter reveals the physical and non-physical, the visible and non-visible consequences of losing weight. The eighth chapter counts the return of some of my old habits and the introduction of new habits into my lifestyle many years after losing weight and their impacts on my weight. The life lessons I learned, while and after losing weight, are treated in the last chapter of this non-fiction book.
