About
The "captive" was a girl named Christina, taken in a raid on Dover, N.H., June 28, 1689, known later as Mrs. Margaret Otis Baker, after her escape in 1714. The "answer" is by Gov. Burnet of Massachusetts. Seguenot was a priest in the Montreal Seminary. (ACHR, 26, 269; J.G. Shea, in ACQ, 6 (1881), 216 ff.) cf. Parsons, W. Catholic Americana, 1.
