Kniha se nejen dobře čte, ale je i důležitým příspěvkem k dějinám brněnského hudebního divadla, v některých etapách dosud ne zcela zmapovaného. Je doplněna CD se 130 nahrávkami pěvců, jejichž hlasy byly na starých gramofonových deskách zaznamenány.
