XVII Bienal de Arquitectura 2010

The 17th Biennial of Architecture has been force to reexamine its objectives in favor of the reconstruction to recuperate the general architectonic and civil infrastructure devastated by the earthquake and later tsunami in February 2010 that affected a large region of Chile. This new project elaborated the same year of the celebrations of the Bicentennial of the Independence is called "8.8 Re-Construction". The project represent an opportunity of a responsible transformation of the planning of territorial occupation and urban and architectural design focused in offering a better quality of life and permanent sustainability aimed at the conservation of the geographic and natural resources of Chile in the 21st century.
