About
The Korean Evangelical Holiness Church (KEHC) was established in Seoul in 1907. This text is an opportunity to establish the church's theological identity, while celebrating its 100th anniversary of spreading the Gospel of Sanctification in Korea. It is an abridged edition of the voluminous theology of the KEHC which answers the question of the denominational identity of this evangelistic movement. KEHC is the third largest denomination among Korean churches as a whole, following Presbyterians and Methodists, both established 22 years earlier. The Fourfold Gospel originated from the Wesleyan holiness movement of the International Holiness Union in the 19th century, which is based on Wesleyan theology, the revival movement in the 18th century, which, in turn, is rooted in the reformative spirit of emphasizing the Bible, grace and fatih in the 16th century. Formulated under this historical background of the early church and the Protestant Church, the theology of the KEHC is known as the "Protestant Evangelical theology of the Wesleyan fourfold Gospel.
