My Life in Mixtapes

My Life in Mixtapes began as random lyrics, compelled writing stringing together a young girl’s understanding of the world, and formulated notions taking shape in words. It is now a collection of mainly poetry with the addition of a few letters through which I see the world. Written over multiple years, they are tied together through my experiences growing up and hopefully hold significance through personal interpretation to readers. It examines love, heartbreak, loss, identity, femininity, and more.
