The Honey Bee: Deborah's Fate

The Honey Bee is the emotional story of Deborah, a highly talented university student, who experiences exclusion and discrimination because of her misfortune of having been born with facial distortions. Her struggles run parallel with those of her sister Ruth who has to cope with a different problem, her husband. Deborah's father raises honey bees as a hobby, and she herself is always as busy as a honey bee. Setbacks do not discourage her from flying out again seeking fulfillment in the unknown future of her life. A real honey bee by the classical Greek name of Melissa, functions as an observer and commentator and speaks like a human being.
