Murder and the Rose Garden

Murder and the Rose Garden in the story of a young girl named Leah who goes to stay with her and aunt and uncle on the Oregon coast while her parents take a nautical tour for the Summer. When she arrives, she is informed by her aunt that her uncle suddenly passed away in a boating accident, before her arrival. Shortly after, tragedy strikes again when she receives news that her parent's ship has capsized, leaving her an orphan. Leah's aunt's unkindness, especially under the circumstances, is difficult to endure, but it's not long before she realizes that this cruel treatment and her resulting loneliness and not necessarily the worst of her troubles. When Leah finds her uncle's old journal in the rose garden shed, she comes to suspect that perhaps his death was not an accident.
