About
Eighteen-year-old Moshe Valency decides to quit school and enlist in the army. He is already in his second year in Israel's Haifa Technion, but feels that he should be doing more. After passing the physical exam, he joins the three thousand other recruits for rigorous training. With his good diving and swimming skills, he chooses to be part of Flotilla Thirteen. Arriving at the training camp, Moshe and his peers are subjected to extreme challenges that test their physical, psychological, and emotional strength. Half of the recruits fail, but Moshe is not disheartened. He is determined to succeed in his endeavor. In the end, he finally enjoys his status as Captain Moshe Valency.
