John Montgomery has his own secrets~he wants to see Leona pursue her dreams, and he is determined to get her to admit her love for him. He fell in love with Leona the first time he met her. Because of her overbearing mother John was forced to be just another friend hiding his love so he wouldn't be banned from being around her.
When Leona and her friend Alistair start a band John is blown away by her beautiful renditions of the songs by famous country music artists. He gladly becomes part of the trusted group and encourages them to sing every chance they can.
College and life take them their separate ways. When her best friend Heather's family rents the girls a beach house for the summer Leona calls John and invites him to join them because Alistair and Hope will also be around. John and his friends just happen to be at the same place doing some surfing so he figures this will be his chance to go for it, to give it one last try before he moves on with his life.
Will this summer be the one where all of their dreams come true?
