Orkon grabbed Colleen by the wrist and jerked her to her feet. She let out a wail that chilled Nathan to the bone. There was nothing he could do to get his body to listen to him. All he could do was lie there and watch. "Let go of her, Orkon!" he shouted in as loud of a voice as the pain in his back would allow. "It's me you want, not her." "Be quiet!" Orkon rammed his foot into Nathan's side. Nathan winced and cried out in pain. Fifteen-year-old Nathan Crossrough's life falls apart when his mom loses her battle with cancer, and his father is killed. Now Nathan will do anything to get revenge on the man who took his father's life, no matter the cost. A fellow orphan, Colleen is a good friend of Nathan's who relies on him when she needs a place to live. Sometimes it seems like she's the only one who can understand Nathan and what motivates him.
