Fabier Investigations Desire For DiamondsA Novelette Alex Fabier runs Fabier Investigations, based in southern Florida, which he started ten years ago. Giovanni Cellini, Aaron Wetherby and Rachael Faraday have been his good friends all of these years and often help out on his cases. In this, Fabier's last case, Alex is hired to steal a diamond worth $30 million to settle a score for an old friend. He travels to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and while there at the stylish 'Corner Club,' he meets a very attractive girl named Isabella. After relieving the owner of his 100 carat diamond, Alex is pursued across the world with a price on his life. But Isabella is not all she appears to be, as he discovers during his travels. Still haunted by the loss of his late wife Kate, Fabier begins to wonder if he will ever find real happiness again, but there is someone left who may offer Alex what he has been searching for all of these years.
