Salem Normal School, a college started by Horace Mann became Salem Teachers College then Salem State University. Graduating a few months before The Great Depression, culminating the Roaring Twenties, this antique ephemera program is from graduation exercises of June 21st, 1929 at the State Normal School of Salem, Massachusetts. Reverend Garfield of Lynn Massachusetts gave the prayer. Dr. Henry Turner Bailey of Massachusetts Board of Education gave the Address. Mr. J. Asbury Pitman presented the graduates.
