About
Meet Fenrick, a sixteen-year-old antisocial supplies dealer in Al Khuwayr, a small village in Saudi Arabia that protects the struggling remnants of society after a nuclear world war has destroyed nearly everything. When Fenrick is recruited into the militia that guards the village, he embarks on a mission to the ruins of Riyadh in search of Project 7, hidden somewhere in Riyadh's military base. As Fenrick travels beyond his village for the first time in eleven years, he discovers warped monstrosities that were once people and animals. Getting closer to their destination, Fenrick forms a mutual bond with his allies, beginning to feel for the first time since his father died that he need not face the world on his own. Fenrick's curiosity about the true cause of the war continues to grow, as does his determination to complete the mission. Will he learn more about the disease that twisted the animals and people? Will he find Project 7? Could there be other remnants of society somewhere?
