About
Autobiography: An American in Japanese prison. Sent to find the fleet that had bombed Pearl Harbor, he was rescued by the fleet that bombed Pearl Harbor. The Japanese Navy treated him like a brother. Japanese Intelligence treated him rather poorly. Describes life in a Japanese prison camp and the lives of American and Japanese day-laborers in a Japanese rail yard during WW2. The second nuclear bomb exploded within sight of his prison. The author writes with humor, insight and love. A delightful read.
