About
A textbook produced by a Chicago trade school, intended for well-educated amateurs. The striking thing about the book is that so much of the body of knowledge at the time was empirical. The authors worked with electricity, and taught about it, but a lot of their information was by-guess-and-by-golly. It's also somewhat surprising that the book is intended for women and girls, as well as men and boys.
