INTERVENTION IN SOCIAL PEDAGOGY This book offers a panoramic view of pedagogy and of social education from different perspectives. With this end, the fundamentals as well as the main methodologies and scenarios where these are carried out are presented. It studies the essential, theoretical and practical contents, of socio-educative action. It is aimed at assisting the formation needs of professionals who work in the social field, preferably in non-formal education, and who dedicate their efforts in improving their work, given the current social demands, in keeping with the innovative policies of the European Union. These policies have their origin in the need for integrating and unifying European society, promoting the principle of equality of opportunities, cooperation and intercultural solidarity, all aimed at getting better and fairer levels of social coexistence.
