흥성장씨문중의 족보집으로 『병인초보丙寅草譜』와 『경오간보庚午刊譜』 등의 구보를 바탕으로 편찬한 것이다. 권1 앞부분에 ｢학생공사적學生公事蹟｣․범례․｢석성조본錫姓肇本｣․목록․｢보유록保宥錄｣ 및 별록이 실려 있다. 중시조 장영張英부터 제21대까지 간략한 전기사항을 기록하고 있다. 직장공파直長公派․참봉공파參奉公派․승지공파承旨公派․송정공파松亭公派․행정공파杏亭公派․일촌공파壹村公派․목사공파牧使公派 등으로 분류․기술하고 있으며, 천자문 순으로 되어 있다. 6권 6책. 36×22.5㎝목활자본장철張徹의 서문과 1830년(순조 30)의 장윤張의 서문, 1831년 장익진張翼軫의 발문, 1566년(명종 21) 장현張俔의 구보서舊譜序, 1630년(인조 8)의 발문 등이 있다.
