A rock musical loosely based on Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night, with a book by Donald Driver, music by Hal Hester, and lyrics by Danny Apolinar, Your Own Thing became the surprise hit of the off-Broadway season after its opening on January 13, 1968, at the Orpheum, where it had a run of 937 performances.
