Spirit of Adventure, originally published in 1992, became a hugely successful Scottish Television series, was adapted for BBC Radio Scotland and was serialised in The Scotsman newspaper.

It takes author and broadcaster Tom Morton on a frequently hilarious, always informative journey through Scotland's malt whisky industry, aboard a disreputable motorcycle and sidecar which he can barely ride.

It was one of the first, and arguably still the best, tales of an epic journey among malt whisky distilleries.

Tom Morton was a reporter for The Scotsman back in 1992. He is now one of Scotland's best known broadcasters, with a music show on BBC Radio Scotland, and he writes regularly about whisky for various international magazines. He has published several works of fiction and non-fiction.
