Dark Prophecy is a fast-paced tale of mistaken identity, betrayal, and survival that turns a common element of the fantasy genre—the prophecy—on its head with the following premise: What if a prophecy foretold the coming of a great evil rather than the coming of a hero or savior to defeat such an evil?

For thousands of years everyone has dreaded the coming of Fade, the Queen of Shadows, whom the Dark Prophecy warned would attempt to overthrow the light and rule in darkness. From the poorest commoner to the ruling Lightbringers, everyone stood vigilant against her coming in the hope that they could prevent her rise to power. Fifteen-year-old Aylen had heard and believed the frightening tales about Fade, but her world turns upside down when she is accused of being the evil Queen of Shadows.
