About
Daniel D'Novo is the 15 yr. old son and grandson of NYPD beat cops. His father is both honest and intelligent, and uncovers efforts by a Russian mob to penetrate his precinct. He goes to the DA with evidence, placing both him and his son in jeopardy and getting him nearly killed. They are moved to a remote Florida location while Sergeant D'Novo testifies before a Grand Jury, but someone in the precinct leaks his new address, and Daniel finds himself fleeing for his life through the Florida swamps, carrying on his back a badly injured girl. At every turn, Daniel finds that life can be brutal, but his father's example helps keep him alive and struggling to grow up. Unfortunately, there are those who want to ensure that doesn't happen.
