Limitation leaf signed and numbered by Kolbe; 166 pages; title printed in silver and black; double size halftone coin enlargements throughout the text; 8 double-page halftone plates of coins. Fine. "Out of Series, No. 1 of 1. The only large paper copy bound without plates. [signed] G.F. Kolbe." A unique variation on the large-paper edition of the 1992 revision of Browning, bound in high-grade morocco and with a handwritten limitation notice as quoted. This special edition features a new separate printing of the augmented text on coated stock, optimizing the quality of the halftone coin enlargements therein.
