The Selected Journals of L.M. Montgomery: Vol. 1, 1889-1910

Lucy Maud Montgomery (1874-1942) - "Anne of Green Gables" and other works cherished by many fans and followers world-wide. She kept detailed journals throughout her life. She began these journals 1889 at the age of fourteen and continued them up to her death. The first installment of autobiographical journals were published in 1985. They take her to the year 1910. This was a year before her marriage and coincides with her departure from Prince Edward Island. Montgomery's journals are a social history of the time with insight into her own life. A must read!
