About
An example of Relation and function...
Q.1: If (a3+1,b–23) = (53,13), what is the value of a and b?

Sol:

(a3+1,b–23) = (53,13)
As the ordered pairs are equal, the corresponding elements will also be equal.

Therefore, a3+1=53 a3=53–1 a3=23
Therefore, a = 2

Now, b–23=13 b=13+23
Therefore, b = 1

Hence, a = 2 and b = 1
