It was Benjamin Disraeli who said “Nurture your mind with great thoughts, for you will never go any higher than you think”. And I will add: say something to yourself that will lift the spirit to higher height, for there is great power in the tongue, there is great strength in human speech. No wonder Hitler, no wonder Emeka Ojukwu, and notable other great orators were able to inspire their people to wars (through oratorical dexterity) even in times of nothingness. Through the power of inspiration, Martin Lurther King Jnr gingered the blacks in the United States of America to rise up for their rights: and many other people have done same round the globe. Think of Ken Saro-Wiwa of the MOSOP and Niger-Delta fame; think of Rt Hon. Nnamdi Azikiwe (Zik of Africa) during the Nigerian Independence struggle! think of Mao of China, think of Mahamat Ghandi of India and many more. Surely, the world wouldn’t have moved an inch without people like those ones who inspired others to actions and greatness. The power of thinking, the power of tongues, the power of inspiration, cannot be under-estimated: it moves mountain! And so, think great, talk positive, about you: and take the journey up from there, and it will amaze you how far you will go! In fact, research has severally shown that those who laugh, those who remain positive or cheerful are bound to survive the worst of conditions. So, one has no option than to tow the path of wisdom, by filling own system with positive thoughts. It is true that things may not presently be exactly as one planned, but one must persevere. And the name of the game is courage and patience. This book of poetry is essentially meant to inspire the reader towards achieving success. It preaches the observance of some success ingredients, namely: courage, patience, hope and diligence. In life, inspiration remains a driving force focal to forging ahead. We certainly need motivation each passing day, to enable the weak spirit within us fire-on! Surely, the afore-mentioned factors of success have been poetically presented in various poems here-in contained, for the desired effect. And it is my hope that you will be fulfilled going through this text.
