Young Adult Outcomes of Juvenile Court Involved Girls

The study sample for the first two aims was drawn from a larger longitudinal study of services and outcomes. The sample contained female subjects born between 1982 and 1989; who were reported for child maltreatment and/or lived in families receiving support from Aid to Families with Dependent Children during childhood; and who had been petitioned for an offense in the juvenile court. For the third aim, data were collected through qualitative interviews of seven women who self-identified as having been juvenile court involved in childhood. Data were analyzed using survival analysis, latent class analysis, and grounded theory techniques.
