About
Faced with the indiscriminate abuse against the Indians, in the colonial era, there were many who denounced said injustice and humiliation, and some who took up arms to defend their brothers, such as José Gabriel Condorcanqui and his companion Micaela Bastidas, whom this novel pay a noble tribute. It is the intrigues of the rebellion, the sacrifices and the weariness that feed its pages, loaded with a subtle breath of indignation, of courage, in which betrayal precipitates the fall of a patriotic uprising. Micaela is presented with the qualities that characterize her: firmness and resolution, she gives without limits to the revolutionary cause, and with her courage that induces her to fight in decisive moments. She is the one with the greatest impetus, the one who leads and faces the inconveniences, the one who inspires the women of her town, and the one who is executed with the greatest viciousness. An ode to the sacrifice for the vindictive ideals and to the woman who knew how to advocate for freedom.
