About
In his abstract sculptures Enrique Asensi combines the two classic materials steel and stone: Corten steel contrasts with such differently-colored stones as diabase, dolomite, granite, limestone, or alabaster.0The book accompanies a double exhibition. The large-format sculptures can be seen in the Flottmann-Hallen and the Skulpturenpark in Herne, while the medium-sized and smaller sculptures, draft drawings, and wax paintings are on display in the Kunstmuseum Gelsenkirchen. In addition, the group of 'leaning sculptures' forms a focal point at the venues in both cities.0The sculptor Enrique Asensi (b. 1950) lives and works in Barcelona and Cologne. Asensi's works can be found in numerous international collections, and he is also present in the public space with his sculptures in both Germany and Spain.00Exhibition: Flottmann-Hallen, Herne & Kunstmuseum Gelsenkirchen, Germany (May 2019).
