About
This offering is a package of items, consisting of several hours of face to face video instruction, over 200 pages of text in a lay-open coil-bound booklet, AND a companion PDF for reading the text and accessing the videos from your own computer and mobile devices.

In addition to its systematic step by step instruction in the golf swing given by the Guinness World Record Holder for the longest drive of a golf ball in a sanctioned golf tournament in the history of golf, it narrates the whole story of the Mike Austin's passion for truth and perfection in golf swing mechanics, its dynamics, and its scientific, anatomical, and neurological rationale. His profound mantra was that Golf Is Mental Imagery wherein he informs us that if you can think what you're going to do, your body will do it for you.

The video instructions come to you by single click technology to Internet URLs accessed directly from the PDF (laid out the same as in the booklet), where many teaching points are located with exact time stamps, obviously a more time-efficient and helpful procedure for study and practice than having to use separate DVDs and search in order to get to what you need at any given time.

On September 25th, 1974, Michael Hoke Austin hit the longest drive in the history of golf (515 yards, on a level fairway with negligible wind, with a 43 1/2-inch persimmon wood driver and a vintage balata golf ball) in the U.S. Seniors National Open Championship in Las Vegas, Nevada, at the age of 64. He did not swing out of his socks when he hit this drive, nor at any other time, whether in a tournament or when demonstrating for pupils, where 350 yards was for him a short knocker. His motions were the epitome of efficiency! Actually he spent most of his 80 adult years teaching (he had no patience for putting, and tournament play was not important to him. His record drive overshot the green by 65 yards and he three putted for bogie).

Austin's method for hitting a ball was different from the way put forth and taught by the PGA so he was essentially banned from teaching at public golf courses: it had much more built-in power and accuracy from its design, not from effort. He IS well known to teachers and media insiders, many of whom continue to ignore his wisdom and its NO-roll swing action because of its difference from what they have always done. (The prevailing swing used by most PGA pros uses and teaches a roll-into-the-ball motion acutely vulnerable to slices and hooks.) Resistance of the establishment is because human nature doesn't like change.

For the significance of this, recall how in 1968 an American high jumper won the Olympic gold medal setting not only a new Olympic record in that event: he beat his own previous best by a HUGE six inches using an entirely different method than the head-first, tummy-down methods in use at that time. Now in track and field the Fosbury Flop (going over the bar backwards with tummy up) is the normal procedure. Austinology is just as different from the modern swing AND AS SUPERIOR TO IT as the Fosbury method is from its predecessors.

Mike earned a BS in Physics, a Masters in Engineering, and a Ph.D. in Kinesiology/Anatomy. Those credentials, together with his personal performance unexcelled by anyone else in the history of the world, make Mike Austin THE most qualified of all golf teachers to show you the best way to hit golf balls far and straight. Enjoy Mike himself (or one of his selected faithful disciples) teaching YOU to do what HE did, with guidance by the writer who has personalized the instructions and guidance for the body YOU bring to the golf course. It is all yours in exquisite detail for a lot less than other current popular swing systems - simplified, clarified, and demystified. Enjoy golf as it was meant to be!
