I had begun to forget what a normal life was. It had been so long since my life was anywhere near normal. I once had a home, parents, a brother and sister but did they even remember me now after all this time? Each day I was here it became harder to recall their precious faces. It seemed a whole other lifetime ago and I missed it so much. So many years had gone past and I supposed my family had done their grieving and were getting on with their lives without me. I wish things had been different. I wish I had been anywhere other than in that room the night I was taken, then maybe I’d still be with them but instead I was in a cold dark basement.
