About
Lots of exegeses were made regarding the book of Daniel. So, there are many options to get info’s about content, structure, historic background, e.g. That helps us coming faster to the point:

Nearly all the exegetes interpret the two iron legs of the statue, that Nebuchadnezzar dreamed of, as West- and East-Rome. But that doesn’t conform to the text.

Nowhere in the book of Daniel Rome was named of even mentioned. That kind of exegesis – as astonishing as it is - is based on assumption, interpretation and tradition.

This exegesis here deviates intentionally from this and outlays the two legs as the Seleucids and the Ptolemies, and the 10 toes as the Dekapolis or the Ten Cities. This will be explained in this elaboration in detail. It does not guide itself in the generally accepted view regarding the succession of the empires and not in tradition or interpretation but it follows the text of the bible and – if necessary – the most modern knowledge in science and archaeology.
The exegesis was kept as short and simple as possible, so that every reader can check it within the text of the bible especially in the book of Daniel. The influence of this kind of exegesis of the statue in Nebuchadnezzar’s dream should not be underestimated regarding its influence on other important prophetic texts in the bible.

And sorry for my bad English, I'm no native spaeker.

The author is a German architect and autodidact. He was born in 1962, is married and since decades in service of his church in Germany.
