Claudia Jennings: Playboy Playmate and B Movie Actress

Claudia Jennings made perhaps the most noteworthy impression of any former Playboy Playmate in motion pictures, aside of course, from the magazine's first Playmate, Marilyn Monroe. Cast mostly in b films Jennings gained a wide following among fans who enjoyed her confident and sexy characters. Her most remembered film is the bayou, red neck flick, Gator Bait. In this one the actress is cast as alligator poacher Desiree Thibodeau. Unfortunately Jennings' life was short and she died a tragic death in a car accident only months short of her 30th birthday. Claudia might eventually have gotten into more mainstream films had she lived, especially if she had been offered a role by a filmmaker like Quentin Tarantino.
