"The idea of creating a book that would shed new light on the world of tattoo artists was first conceived about two years ago. Marco Bratt a tattoo-artist from The Netherlands, and his girlfriend Nancy Heimburger, a lifestyle photographer, did their utmost to contact eminent tattoo artists from all over the world with the request that they create a sketch for inclusion in this unique book. The authors' enthusiasm inspired a wide range of artists, who were able to express themselves in deeply personal ways, unrestrained by commercial demands.
