his is the latest novel for the Arab famous author Ahlam Mosteghanemi, first published in 2012. The novel is in Arabic, this is not a translated version of it. The novel talks about an Algerian artist whom her father was a singer that was killed by the terrorists, and then they threaten her too because she works as a singer as well. She is forced to leave Algeria with her Syrian mother to the Levant where she lives as a singer. She had kept wearing black and refuses to change them until she meets this Lebanese man who likes her pride and genuine love to her country, then she tries to start her life again with him. تدور احداث الروايه حول فنانه جزائريه كان والدها مطربا، ويُقتل علي يد الارهابيين الذين يهددونها هي الاخري بالقتل لانها تعمل مُغنيه، فتضطر الي ان تغادر الجزائر مع والدتها السوريه اليي الشام، وتعيش حياتها هناك كفنانه، وتظل ترتدي ملابس سوداء منذ ذلك الحين ولا ترضي بتبديلها، الي ان تلتقي بشاب لبناني تعجبه عزتها واصالتها، لتبداء معه حياتها الجديد The book has received 3.86/5 stars on goodreads, yet I believe it should receive 4.
