About
The Wounded Sinner is a fast-moving novel which shifts in location between Leonora on the goldfields of WA and Perth where a grand old house is slowly decaying. In the house lives Archie Andrews who is dying and cared for three weeks out of four by his son, Matthew, a would-be writer. Meanwhile, Matthew's wife, Jeanie stays in Leonora looking after their children. On a hot desolate day in the West Australian hinterland, Matthew's car finally breaks down. Vince, whose own family is falling apart, stops to pick him up and, in amongst the chaos of their lives, an unlikely friendship is formed.
