About
Fourteen-year-old Clarence James Gamble, his parents, and his 17-year-old brother, Sidney David Gamble, spent 10 weeks in Japan in 1908. One hundred twenty of the many photographs the brothers took are reproduced in this volume, along with a journal of their travels. Gamble was an international philanthropist who promoted women's health and contraception, and founded Pathfinder International, a global nonprofit organization that provides maternal health care and education for women.
