First edition, with the first published exposure of the ‘Decretum Desiderii,’ a supposed edict of the Lombard King Desiderius, ca. 770, favouring Pope Hadrian I over Charlemagne, as an Annian forgery (see Bib# 4173306/Fr# 196 in this collection for its first printing).
