Highlights in Space

This publication reviews recent developments in space activities, prepared in co-operation with the International Astronautical Federation, the Committee on Space Research and the International Institute of Space Law. It is divided into two sections: developments in space technology, space applications, international collaboration and space law covering the period November 2003 to October 2004; and space science research over the period November 2002 to October 2004. Topics discussed include: space transportation, unmanned orbital activities and exploration, studies of the solar system, astrophysics and life sciences related to space, satellite dynamics, environmental impacts, space research in developing countries, space weather, and capacity building.
