Yepes

The thrill of space is a major retrospective that brings together nearly 35 works in bronze representing the production of Yepes, Spanish-born artist who was husband of Olympia Towers, eldest daughter of Joaquín Torres García and Manolita. Eduardo Yepes Díaz (1909-1978), who, like artists like Picasso and Barradas, chose his mother's surname as a stage name, was born in Madrid. He studied at the Experimental School in Madrid, where he became interested in drawing and modeling, and in 1925 began to create his first sculptures.
