These recipes have NOT been tested When this evil little book first came into my hands I thought it was some sick joke, and it might very well be just that. A joke. I hope so. But a book with the title THE GOURMET POISONERS HANDBOOK and admits that it is filled with recipes for sauces laced with poison requires examination. Some of the sauces are poisonous it says, not all of them and no way to tell which were the deadly ones and which the simply original recipes. It came to me anonymously with a Cambridge, England postmark, no return address.. You might be tempted to try the recipes, for in their pure unadulterated state they are perfectly useful, in some cases very innovative, and many of them appear to be deceptively exotic. Study them before using.
