About
Meet Beth, born to a family of career underachievers, she's clawed her way to a life of average. Overcoming every hurdle, that gets thrown at her. One look at her painted skin is enough to scare most people away, which suited her just fine. But on a surprise break to Ireland, she meets someone who makes her feel things she never wanted to feel. Will she embrace these new feelings? Or will she run?

Dependable. Steadfast. Independent. Boring. Fake, all great adjectives to describe me. Allow me to introduce myself.
Hi, my name is Beth. I’m a 26-year-old oncology nurse from London. I was born to a family of career underachievers, who raised me to believe I would never amount to anything. Against all odds, I did make something of myself. I have a career that I love, a best friend who means everything to me, and a home that I’m proud of.
My whole life has been a constant battle, leaving me scarred and absolutely determined to keep people at arms-length, to never allow anyone to get close enough to hurt me again. Immersing myself in my job has been a great way to avoid life. I’ve been emotionally numb for as long as I can remember. I don’t want love, and I certainly don't need it, I’m walking through life, one safe step at a time, happily closed off to everyone aside from Grady.
I cover myself in colour to camouflage the beige. On the outside, I’m the girl you don’t take home to mother. My camouflage worked well, until him.
My whole world spirals out of control, when my best friend and roommate, Grady, whisks me away on a chance trip to the emerald isle, where I meet a guy who doesn’t terrify me. Overnight, my entire existence changes profoundly, making me question everything. Now, my once magnolia-tinted view has exploded to life, in a cacophony of colour and light, opening me up to a world of new experiences. Yesterday I was comfortably numb, a Nothing Girl, today I’m alive. But what happens when you start to feel things. When you let people in?
One party, one hello, one ride, and I’m his.
Can she learn to accept the happiness he’s offering? Or is she destined to always remain a Nothing Girl?
