About
Marc Freeze, a CIA operative assigned to a cover job in Constanta, Romania, discovers a dead Russian man at Babadag Lake. While working the case, Marc finds himself having strange dreams, falling in love when he least expects it, and talking to a cat named Scruffy, who seems to understand him. In 1944, two young brothers serving in the Russian army had found a fabulous stash of Nazi blood gold, which they secretly transferred to their family farm in the Soviet Union. Now, seventy years later, a man finds and steals the treasure, and the Russians accuse the Germans of the theft of WWII Blood Gold. Who is the dead man? How did he get in the lake, and what does he have to do with the missing gold? The burden falls on Marc to find out.
