Laurie and Mandy Winters have their entire world turned inside out, with a single phone call. Their parents were involved in a serious car accident; both lives are uncertain. As their journey progresses, Laurie loses control on her world as her younger sister loses grip on reality. Laurie suddenly finds extra support from an unexpected friend, someone that she never imagined that she would meet.
