When one declared your enemy becomes your trusted friend...
When Lee Karis, a simple working man, finds Benjamin Qasem, a fugitive POW, hiding in the local park one night, what begins as an act of kindness becomes a friendship stronger and more committed than either could have anticipated. But their friendship is unacceptable to the government and the cultural norms around them, and soon the two find that retreat to the seclusion of New York's forests is the only way to preserve their bond.
