Introduction to the adoption and use of a card index system for business. Discussion of only one broad method of correspondence indexing and filing using alphabetical names and numbering individual files consecutively. Suggestion to use index cards for accounting ledgers rather than books or loose sheets. Some discussion of card sizes and weights as well as furniture attributes. Not as broadly flexible in examples as J. Kaiser (1908), but also not as many examples of different filing methods as books into the 1920s or up to Progressive Indexing and Filing (Remington Rand, Inc., 1950).
