Francisco Narla

Francisco Javier Fernández Vázquez, known as Francisco Narla (Lugo, 1978), is a Spanish writer, author of historical and mystery novels. An air pilot by profession, he began his literary career with a horror novel, *Los lobos del centeno* (2009), with a Galician atmosphere, followed by the crime novel *Caja negra* (2010). In the following works, he tackles the genre of the historical novel, set in different periods of Spanish history: Roman Hispania in *Donde aúllan las colinas* (2015) and medieval Spain in *Assur* (2012), *Rōnin* (2013) and *Laín*. *El bastardo* (2018, Edhasa Prize for Historical Narratives).
