Michael Buckley

Michael Buckley was born in 1939. He is a Kentish man. He was educated at Eltham College in South East London and Christ Church Oxford, where he studied classics and philosophy. He still reads Latin and Greek for pleasure, and speaks French, German, and Italian. He also has a university degree in mathematics, and university qualifications in physics and statistics. He spent most of his career in the civil service, and was Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman from 1997 to 2002. He is keenly interested in drama, and loves listening to music.
