Martha Tolles
I grew up in Rye, New York and was graduated from Smith College where I was assistant managing editor of the newspaper, then called SCAN. After graduation I worked as a reporter for a newspaper, the Port Chester Daily Item and later was a member of the editorial staff of Publishers' Weekly. I was married to E. Leroy Tolles, founding partner of the law firm, Munger, Tolles and Olson. He passed away recently. We had six children, five boys and a girl which led to my first book, TOO MANY BOYS,(Thos.
