George Cadogan Morgan

George was born at Bridgend, Glamorganshire, Wales, second son of William Morgan, physician, and his wife Sarah, who was a sister of Dr. Richard Price the philosopher - another of their sons was William Morgan (1750 - 1833). From Cowbridge school he went up, in 1771, to Jesus College, Oxford, intending to take Anglican orders, but he changed his theological views and went to Hoxton Academy. He was minister at Norwich (1776-85) and at Yarmouth (1785-6); then he became assistant to his uncle Richard Price at Hackney Academy.
